Abstract

[EN] It seems necessary and usefut to give a general view of the correlation and chronostratigraphic division of the materials sedimented in the Triassic basins of the Iberian Peninsula in the same way tbat elsewhere is given a general account of the evolution of these basins. This attempt can only be partially fultilled not only for the scarcíty of marker points allowing the correlation and datation of the Triassic in the Iberían Península, but also for the false attribution of chronostratigrapíiic value to same units. Nevertheless, in the present state of researcb, it is possible to outline the problem of the limits with the Permian and Jurassic systems, the relationships among stratigraphic units and the application of alpine stages to the Iberian Peninsula.
