Abstract

[EN] In this lot, located in the heart of the old islamic medina of Murcia, we found a number of archaeological remains that extend chronologically from the Middle Ages to modern times. The oldest, dating from the Xth century, corresponds to a house comprising at least two cores each of them around a courtyard. The main one had a large garden, presided over his forehead by a north pool, which might be surrounded by the finest units. The second, much smaller, was close to the entrance of the house and to it opened a wide angled hallway and other units of service including a toilet and a small lounge. Both cores were connected through a bend corridor at the northwest. As a result of urban saturation, the former polynuclear house was subdivided in the twelfth century in two houses with three bays each, of which we could document different constructive phases of Islamic epoch that are reached up to the 13th century.
