Abstract

[EN] Archaeological excavation in a narrow lot placed in the southwestern sector of the medieval suburb of the Arrixaca. There appeared remains corresponding to the moat of the wall of the medina and a short section of the wall of the suburb, included a tower, which was transformed in Christian epoch into the tower and Gil Martínez’s gate, mentioned in the Castilian texts, which apparently replaced the Islamic gate called Bâb Abu Sayd that was located in the vicinity.
