Experiencias con fertilizantes en suelos gallegos. II.

Abstract

[EN] Field experiments with hybrid corn and varieties were conducted over the same soil from 1952 through 1953. In 1952 the influence of the rate of planting and the soil nitrogen applications on the production and protein content in the grain was determined; other factors affecting the productivity was also study. That year three hybrids, with a vegetative period adequate to various parts of Galicia Country, at two nitrogen levels were used. In 1953 a experienced with three hybrids of different genetic yield capacity, was carried out applying to every hybrid the rate of planting adecuate its period with an average level in the nitrogen fertilization. Results from the yielding and protein content was discussed.
