In thiswork,thecharacterizationofasolderingsystemwithwollastoniteasfilleraddedaspowdertothepowderedbaseglassis shown. Asolderingsystemconsistingofthebaseglassandacoexistingcrystallinephaseiscreatedwhichisthenpressedtopelletsand sintered tomaximumdensity. Wollastonite increasesthethermalexpansioncoefficientofthebaseglassaftersinteringthesamples.Inthepresentpaper,the sintering behaviorofthesolderingsystemandpossibleinteractionsbetweenglassandfillerareanalyzed.Also,densityandporosityafter sintering andtheresultingcrystallinephasesarecharacterized. The mixtureswithwollastonitecontentsupto30%showedsuitablesinteringbehaviorandgooddensity(lowporosity).From40% wollastonite on,thesinteringofthesampleswasnotsatisfyingandporositywasstillhighaftersintering.Themaincrystallinephases were anorthite,wollastoniteandpseudowollastonite,whichoccurredinallsamples.Thisshowsthatallthreephasesarecoexisting phases oftheglasscomposition.
