Estimación de las pérdidas de nitrato en un suelo con cultivo de maíz y riego

Abstract

[ES]: Se ha realizado un estudio del lavado de nitratos en dos parcelas cultivadas de maiz y regadas por surco. Una de las parcelas se fertilizo con 520 Kg ha(-1) de N y la otra con 176 Kg ha(-1) de N. Las cantidades de agua aplicadas por riego fueron las mismas en ambas parcelas. Los resultados han mostrado que la mayor cantidad de nitratos lavada se produjo en la parcela con el nivel de fertilizacion nitrogenada mas elevado. En general, el lavado mas importante de nitratos tiene lugar durante el periodo de suelo desnudo y lluvias. El desarrollo del cultivo y la produccion de grano en ambas parcelas no fueron significativamente diferentes.

[EN]: A field study on the nitrate leaching was carried out on two plots cropped with corn and furrow irrigated. The two plots were fertilized with 520 and 176 Kg ha-1 respectively. The amounts of water applied by irrigation werc the same in both plots. Results show higher nitrate leaching in the plot with highest N fertilizalion than in the plot with lowest N fertilization. In general the highest nitrate leaching occurred during the bare soil and rainfall periodo. Crop development and grain yield in both pools were not significantly different.
