[ES] En este trabajo se hace una panorámica de las aportaciones hechas al conocimiento de las características de los índices globales de aislamiento frente al ruido aéreo. De manera concreta se analizan los índices Rw (ISO 717) y R_A (aislamiento en decibelios A), extendiendo éste último a distintos tipos de ruido incidente, en relación a la disminución de sonoridad del ruido transmitido. Se estudian la influencia del ruido incidente y la importancia de la forma de la curva de aislamiento, señalando la forma óptima de ésta. Se concluye en la mayor idoneidad del sistema aislamiento en decibelios A generalizado y se indica un método para determinar si un determinado tipo de ruido necesita o no un nuevo término de adaptación espectral C_r,A.
[EN] This work presents a general insight of contributions, made by the authors, to the knowledge of single number ratings of airborne sound insulation, particularly Rw and R_A. Ratings are analyzed with regard to the influence of both the incident noise and the shape of the transmission loss curve, into the loudness reduction. The generalized index R_r,A shows a neatly better agreement with loudness reduction and a method to justify spectrum adaptation terms, particularly for an arbitrary incident noise are mentioned.
