Abstract

[ES] Se describe al actividad del Instituto de Acústica en relación al estudio, desarrollo e innovación de materiales y dispositivos acústicos. Desde la construcción en los momentos de su fundación, de instalaciones pioneras en nuestro país, dedicadas a la metrología de materiales acústicos, el Instituto de Acústica ha contribuido al establecimiento de un sistema normativo, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional, así como al fomento y asesoramiento a la Administración en la elaboración de reglamentos y documentos técnicos, además de mantener una línea constante de investigación, a través de los Planes Nacionales o de colaboraciones con el sector privado.

[EN] The activity of the Instituto de Acústica with regard to the study, development and innovation of acoustical materials is presented. Since the construction, in the early 60’s, of new measurement laboratories, pioneers in Spain, the Instituto de Acústica has contributed to the development of a normative system, both in national and international terms, as well as the advice to the Public Administration in setting up new bylaws and technical documents. In the same way, the Instituto de Acustica has maintained a continuos research line in acoustical materials, supported by the National Research Plans and through collaborations with private companies.
