[EN] In this study, an egg hatch assay (EHA) was developedwith faecaleggs for the detection of the resistance of some isolates of Fasciola hepatica, susceptible and resistant to albendazole (ABZ). For the susceptible isolate, significant differences between the three highest concentrations (2, 0.2 and 0.02 μg/ml) and the control well have been found, but not for the resistant isolate, confirming the effect of this drug in the susceptible isolate. Also the resistance was confirmed with eggs obtained 7 days after the treatment of animals infected with a resistant isolate. Nevertheless, to 15 days post - treatment (pt) the degree of RA waslower diluted because of the presence of both resistant adult flukes and immature when the drug was administered.
