En el presente artículo, damos a conocer dos importantes cartas de Mariano Lagasca, que desde su exilio londinense, escribió a Humboldt en torno al legado científico de José Celestino Mutis y su llegada a España tras la intervención militar del general Morillo en Nueva Granada.
