Abstract

Un cuadro de un oso hormiguero conservado en el Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales es el retrato del animal enviado desde Argentina en 1776 para el Rey Carlos III. El cuadro fue encargado a Antón Rafael Mengs y realizado en su círculo.
