Abstract

[EN] The Campanian and Maastrichtian materials of Sierra Aixorta consist of an alternance of white and yellow limestones and marly limestones with episodes of «couches rouges» facies. Some interbeds of turbiditic calcarenites and levels with slumping phenomens can be observed. Same age materials of External Prebetic sedes are considered as well in order to stablish the palaeogeographic interpretation of the former. The sedimentation supposedly took place in a few hundreds meters deep submarine slope related with the external platform. The Cretaceous-Tertiary limit in Sierra Aixorta is recorded by a hard-ground with strong biodisturbance and pelagic stromatolithes.
