[EN] The Spanish Building Code, in the Fundamental Documents "Hygiene and health" and "Save of energy", establishes and limits two building performances related to its hygrothermal behaviour and that are closely related between them: the production of condensations and the ventilation rate. This paper deals with these building performances, with the influence between them and with the way this influence could affect on a intelligent building design, with the proposal of "Alternative solutions" to the Building Code, and also with a possible future revision of the Building Code.
