I. Componentes edáficos.

Abstract

[EN]The present work reports on the general characteristics of twelve soil profiles from the Mid-Duero Basin (Spain), pertaining to the provinces of Salamanca, Valladolid and Zamora. A study is made of the mineralogical composition of the clay fraction; this reveals a predominance of illite; the organic fraction presents very low levels. The soil are classified according to three systems: the FAO (1973); THE SOIL TAXONOMY (1975) and a numerical taxonomy.
