Ertappt! Der Nachweis von Difluorcarben-Platin-Intermediaten bei der säureinduzierten Spaltung von Pt-CF3-Bindungen gelang durch das Abfangen einer basestabilisierten Pt--CF2-Einheit (siehe Schema). Beim Angriff eines N-Nucleophils (py*) auf das hoch elektrophile und extrem reaktive Kohlenstoffatom des Difluorcarbens wird eine C-N-Bindung gebildet.
