Abstract

[EN] The cynipid Neaylax salviae (Giraud) (Hymenoptera, Cynipidae) is recorded by the first time for the Iberian Peninsula fauna. Available external morphological description of this species is enhanced with SEM pictures of the adult female. A key for the identification of this species from the related Neaylax verbenacus (Nieves-Aldrey) is provided. The galls induced on Salvia lavandulifolia (Lamiaceae) are described and figured and a description of the mature larva is by first time presented.

[ES] El cinípido Neaylax salviae (Giraud) (Hymenoptera, Cynipidae) se cita por primera vez para la Península Ibérica. Se amplía la descripción de la especie con imágenes de microscopio electrónico de barrido y se aporta una clave de identificación para diferenciarla de la especie afín Neaylax verbenacus (Nieves-Aldrey). Se describen e ilustran las agallas inducidas por la especie sobre Salvia lavandulifolia (Lamiaceae) y se describe por primera vez su larva desarrollada.
