Procedimiento de fabricación de catalizadores para la eliminación de contaminantes gaseosos

Abstract

El tratamientos de compuestos que a bajas concentraciones se hallan presentes en la misma fase que el producto a purificar, requiere la utilización de sistemas con características muy especiales. Es evidente que los mecanismos de purificación, además de poseer la actividad necesaria, deberán actuar selectivamente sobre los compuestos a eliminar sin interferir en el producto principal. Entre los sistemas utilizados son de destacar los que emplean zeolitas (sílice-alúmina cristalina, que actúa como un tamiz molecular) y los que basan su operación en una reacción catalítica. Estos últimos, pueden satisfacer los requerimientos de gran número de tratamientos, por lo que su campo de aplicación es mucho más amplio.
