The Manuscript@CSIC portal presents the collections of manuscripts in Hebrew, Arabic, Aljamiado, Persian and Turkish which are stored in CSIC libraries, and includes information on their cataloging and digitization. This is a joint project between the Institute of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Languages and Cultures (ILC), the School of Arabic Studies in Granada (EEA) and the CSIC Library Network. This portal is conceived as an open project, since in later stages it intends to incorporate other important collections of manuscripts kept in the CSIC libraries, which are written in other languages. Manuscript@CSIC has been designed to permit the collections of manuscripts in the CSIC libraries, which are written in a wide range of alphabets (including Latin, Arabic, Hebrew, Persian etc), to be computerized and digitalized and made available to the public.
