Detector universal y cuantitativo de moléculas orgánicas por fluorescencia

Abstract

No todas las moléculas orgánicas son fluorescentes, ni se pueden convertir en fluorescentes usando un único procedimiento. Esta invención permite la detección cuantitativa por fluorescencia de cualquier molécula orgánica, sea o no fluorescente, y de sus mezclas. Este carácter universal de la detección confiere a la invención su principal novedad. El procedimiento está caracterizado por la medida de la variación de la intensidad de la fluorescencia que provoca la interacción ión-dipolo inducido al adicionar la molécula orgánica que se quiera detectar a cualquier catión orgánico, fluorescente y con carga igual o superior a la unidad, y, posteriormente, irradiar el conjunto con luz en el rango ultravioleta o visible. Este procedimiento puede ser llevado a cabo en disolución, en dispositivos tipo sensor, preferentemente de fibra óptica, e incorporado a sistemas cromatográficos, electroforéticos y electrocromatográficos.
