Abstract

La corrosión de los materiales refractarios por escorias y vidrios fundidos es de gran importancia económica. Debido a la heterogeneidad de los materiales refractarios los mecanismos de ataque son muy complejos. En consecuencia, tanto los grandes fabricantes como los consumidores de refractarios se ven obligados continuamente a mantener programas específicos de investigación en esta línea. En el presente trabajo se revisa la teoría básica de la corrosión y se discuten diversos ejemplos, tratando de resumir los principios de los estudios de corrosión de los refractarios por escorias y vidrios fundidos así como los diversos ensayos
