Propuesta de evaluación de la metodología arqueológica

Abstract

Y no, sólo, investigación técnica.

(EN) We still do not have archaeological access to social organization, to the relationships between people established in order to achieve their own social production and reproduction; that is, to all of that that doesn't fit with.in the classical definition of what is considered «material». Consequently, it is thought that it shouldn't be included in the archaeological record as it is not an object of study of archaeology. The problem is that we consider that only through the recognition of these relationsh.ips we will be able to reach a knowledge of any society and to f01mulate hypothesis to explain both its changes or stability. We think that what needs archaeology is to be focused on a deep methodological research. This re-statement of what our discipline is must be done on the basis of a reflection of the theoretical bases from which we work. Our proposal is to calibrate the method; that is, to set up, evaluate and cleanse archaeological methodology, verifying at the same time explicative models or general laws of hunter-gatherer mode of production.
