Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es explicar las motivaciones que llevaron al gobierno español a defender la celebración del IV Centenario en Huelva en 1892 y de cómo estas intenciones motivaron el incentivo de los estudios americanistas, de manera especial aquellos dedicados a la Historia.
