Nivel de blanco de esferas resonantes sumergidas en agua

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar el efecto que tiene el material de una esfera elástica sumergida en agua en el nivel de retrodifusión que produce cuando está en resonancia. En dicho estudio juegan un papel importante tanto el nivel de blanco a la frecuencia de resonancia como el ancho de banda de la resonancia. La aplicación de este trabajo va encaminada a mejorar la detección acústica mediante técnicas sonar de las redes de pesca pelágicas en aguas poco profundas. Los márgenes de frecuencia de interés práctico que se han abordado se centran en valores de ka comprendidos entre 1 y 10, donde k es el número de onda en el agua y a el radio de la esfera.
