Asociaciones entre el locus P y proteínas del cotiledón con los QTLs para tamaño de semilla en judía

Abstract

En la judía común (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) el locus de faseolina (Phs) debe considerarse una herramienta de gran interés para investigar las bases moleculares de la variación cuantitativa y de la expresión génica en este locus, ya que las asociaciones entre el locus de faseolina (Phs) y los QTLs para masa y longitud de semilla fueron consistentes en todos los cruzamientos estudiados, que representan la mayor parte de la variabilidad presente en los acervos genéticos de la judía. Por su parte, los polipéptidos b4/b5 y b6/b7, resultaron ser mejores candidatos que el locus P para estudiar la variabilidad del carácter masa de la semilla, ya que no presentan influencia ambiental, y mostraron asociaciones significativas con este carácter en todos los cruzamientos en los que presentaron variabilidad.
