Abstract

[EN]: The different iron forms and distribution patterns are studied in three soil profiles (Lithic-Distric Xerortent, Lithic Haploxeralf and Typic Rhodoxeralf). These soils constitute a catena on shale in the Sierra Norte of Sevilla. The iron values and the most slgnificative ratios calculated show the development and evolution of each soil. As a result, the catena evolution trend can be established, showing a rubification process.
