Algunas reflexiones sobre el 711

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es doble. En primer lugar, plantea una revisión historiográfica sobre cuáles han sido las principales interpretaciones generales que se han producido sobre la conquista árabe del año 711; se enumeran los distintos aspectos ideológicos y políticos que han configurado la integración de este acontecimiento en distintos discursos históricos. El segundo objetivo es el de proporcionar una visión de la conquista de acuerdo con los datos que tenemos y que proceden de una amplia variedad de evidencias que han sido objeto de pormenorizado estudio y análisis en los últimos años.
