Golden to dark brown c1avate to cylindl'ical mycorrhizae, often arranged in grapelike c1usters. The pseudoparenchyrnatous epidermoid pmper manlle is covered with a plectenchymatous net of hyphae from which smooth-walled, dense, short, non-ramifying qstidia elnerge. Middle mantle ceHs are polygonal with rounded rather than angular l~orners.
