Auscultación de la ladera de la margen izquierda del embalse de Itoiz

Abstract

La Confederación Hidrográfica del Ebro ha construido recientemente el embalse de Itoiz, en el año 2008 se concluyó la fase de puesta en carga y en estos momentos se está dando comienzo a la fase de explotación. Desde los primeros estudios del proyecto en 1987, se describieron potenciales movimientos en la ladera izquierda del embalse de Itoiz. Tras una auscultación minuciosa de la ladera iniciada en 1999 y de múltiples estudios, no se han detectado movimientos significativos que apunten un riesgo de deslizamiento apreciable, ya que las medidas de movimiento quedan dentro del margen de error de los sistemas instalados. Recientemente se ha ampliado la auscultación de la ladera, con los más avanzados sistemas disponibles en la actualidad, permitiendo afinar al máximo la detección de potenciales movimientos, e investigar dentro de las nuevas tecnologías de auscultación, aquellas más eficientes para implantarlas en el resto de embalses de la Cuenca del Ebro. La instrumentación instalada consta de inclinómetros de lectura manual y automática, piezómetros de cuerda vibrante y abiertos, extensómetros de varilla, puntos de control superficial para GPS, lectura topográfica automatizada, triedros reflectores para inferometría rádar, estaciones sísmicas, acelerómetros.
