Abstract

[EN] The iron extracted by both oxalate and pyrophosphate methods have a high significative correlation with the iron corresponding to the A peak of the concentration curves obtained by gradient elution with HCl. In the soils studied the iron extracted by the pyrophosphate and by the oxalate methods were higher than the iron of the A peak; the gradient elution technique set out the source of this surplus of iron. No extraction of iron from the C peak of the gradient was obtained by the pyrophosphate and oxalate methods probably because the C peak corresponds to the cristalline free iron oxides.

[ES] Se encuentra que hay una correlación fuertemente significativa entre las cantidades de Fe extraídas por el pirofosfato y el oxalato, con las correspondientes al máximo denominado A que aparece en las curvas de gradiente. Para los suelos aquí estudiados, tanto el pirofosfato como el oxalato extraen Fe de otros materiales distintos de los correspondientes al A; el método del gradiente permite averiguar de dónde es extraído este Fe. Ninguno de ambos reactivos extraen Fe de los compuestos correspondientes al máximo C.
