Abstract

[ES] Bajo el término análisis de imagen se ha catalogado un amplio abanico de técnicas que tienen en común tan sólo la utilización de ordenadores e imágenes digitales para producir el equivalente a los calcos elaborados mediante procedimientos más tradicionales. En este trabajo se discute la aplicación de estas técnicas a paneles rupestres españoles, se evalúan los resultados y se aportan ejemplos de informaciones de distinto tipo obtenidas mediante técnicas de análisis de imagen, que resultan relevantes tanto para la investigación de las manifestaciones rupestres como para la formulación de estrategias adecuadas de conservación de los mismos.

[EN] Beneath the concept of image analysis a large number of techniques have been described, simply having in common the use of computers and digital images in order to produce the equivalent of tracings produced by more traditional methods. In this paper the implementation of these techniques to Spanish rock art panels is discussed, results are assessed and examples of different kind of information obtained by means of image analysis techniques are presented, relevant for the research of rock art depictions, but also for the preparation of suitable conservation strategies

Este trabajo se ha llevado a cabo en el marco de los proyectos “Aplicación de técnicas de teledetección a la monitorización del biodeterioro y documentación de bienes culturales en ambientes hipogeos” (CSIC PIE 200440E327), “Estudio integrado de los factores de deterioro de los sustratos rocosos del arte rupestre en Aragón: parámetros ambientales, geológicos y biológicos” (Gobierno de Aragón PM055/2006) y “Programa de investigación en Tecnologías para la Valoración y Conservación del Patrimonio” (CONSOLIDER CSD2007-00058).
