Estudio de la textura de los gelés sílice-magnesia

Abstract

Se ha demostrado que la concentración de sal w.agnésica empleada en la preparación de geles de sílice-magnesia puede influir sobre su superficie específica, su estructura porosa y su contenido en magnesio, según el método de preparación empleado. Se han empleado dos métodos para la obtención de lo^s geles: 1) Coprecipitación de silicato sódico con oxicloruro de magnesio, y 2) Coprecipitación de silicato sódico con sulfato magnésico. Cuando se usa el método 1), el aumento en la concentración de oxisal produce un incremento en el contenido en magnesio del ge\. favorece una estructura porosa con predominancia de poros de radio inferior a 14 A, y hace que la superficie específica aumente y pase por un máximo. En geles preparados por el método 2), la concentración d'e sulfato magnésico ejerce muy poca influencia sobre el contenido en magnesio del gel y sobre su estructura porosa y superficie específica
