Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a la preparación de monoésteres de alcoholes polihidroxílicos mediante un procedimiento que comprende una primera etapa de protección de los grupos hidroxilo de un alcohol polihidroxílico por acetalización y una segunda etapa de esterificación de dicho alcohol polihidroxílico acetalizado con un ácido graso o mezcla de ácidos grasos, en presencia de uno o más catalizadores sólidos ácidos.
