Ensayos para la caracterización de pantallas serigráficas

Abstract

La serigraf a es una t cnica ampliamente utilizada para llevar a cabo la decoraci n de las baldosas cer micas. Con ella se consigue reproducir el dise o existente en la pantalla serigr fica (tejido que contiene una m scara) sobre las baldosas haciendo pasar una suspensi n (tinta serigr fica) a su trav s. Las caracter sticas de las pantallas influyen en gran medida en la calidad de la reproducci n del dise o, por lo que stas deben ser controladas y mantenerse constantes dentro de las diferentes pantallas, que contienen un mismo dise o, empleadas en la fabricaci n de un modelo. La determinaci n de la tensi n y el espesor de la pantalla son los nicos controles que se realizan, aunque no habitualmente, previa a la puesta en producci n de la pantalla. En el presente art culo se detallan los ensayos a realizar con el objeto de llevar a cabo una adecuada caracterizaci n de las pantallas serigr ficas: determinaci n de las caracter sticas del tejido, de la tensi n, el espesor y el rea libre de paso de la pantalla. Adem s, tambi n se indican los ensayos puestos a punto con el objeto de determinar dos propiedades muy importantes relacionadas con la duraci n de la pantalla: la resistencia a la abrasi n y la adherencia de la emulsi n fotogr fica al tejido de la pantalla. El empleo de los m todos de caracterizaci n indicados permite llevar a cabo un adecuado control de las pantallas y as evitar problemas posteriores durante la utilizaci n de las mismas en la l nea de producci n.
