Interoperabilidad de la Información Geográfica

Abstract

La Diputació de Barcelona ha realizado la migración de su información geográfica almacenada en ficheros y en distintos formatos, a una base de datos Oracle con tipo de datos geometría. El objetivo principal de este proyecto ha sido conseguir la máxima interoperabilidad de la información geográfica almacenada en la base de datos, de forma que cualquier herramienta de consulta de información geográfica pueda acceder a los datos almacenados en un tipo de datos SDO _GEOMETRY, sin necesidad de transformación o conversión de los mismos. Como resultado de la migración se ha conseguido disponer de una base de datos con toda la información geográfica almacenada de forma estructurada, en un formato único, y accesible desde diferentes herramientas de consulta. Se ha conseguido la interoperabilidad de la información geográfica.

The Diputació of Barcelona has worked in the migration ofits geographical information stored in differentformatfiles, to Oracle database with geometry datatype. The main aim of our project has been to obtain the maximum interoperability of the geographical information stored in data base, so that queriesfrom any geographical information tool can access data stored as SDO _GEOMETRY datatype, without any data conversion or transformation. As a consequence of the migration we have a database with ali structured geographical information stored, in a unique format, and accessible since dijferent query tools. We obtain the interoperability ofthe geographical information.
