Durabilidad de las armaduras de construcción: acero al carbono y acero inoxidable

Abstract

Este estudio propone una metodología experimental y numérica para evaluar la corrosión y su impacto mecánico en armaduras de hormigón. Se compararon acero al carbono y aceros inoxidables dúplex EN 1.4362 y EN 1.4462 (2304 y 2205 respectivamente) mediante ensayos electroquímicos en medio alcalino con cloruros, complementados con perfilometría óptica y simulación FEM para analizar el efecto de picaduras sobre la capacidad portante. Aunque los inoxidables presentan menor velocidad de corrosión, el daño localizado puede comprometer la integridad estructural, lo que sugiere revisar umbrales normativos y optimizar criterios de diseño para estructuras más seguras y durables.

En este nuevo número de la revista Material-ES se recogen los trabajos presentados al Premio SOCIEMAT al Mejor Trabajo de Fin de Máster en Ingeniería en el área de Materiales en su edición de 2025.
