Protocolos y técnicas analíticas e instrumentales para evaluar el impacto del fuego sobre la materia orgánica del suelo

Abstract

En este capítulo se describen metodologías y técnicas actuales para el estudio de la materia orgánica (MO) del suelo. Se han seleccionado aquellas que aportan información más específica a la hora de evaluar el impacto de los incendios sobre los distintos tipos de constituyentes orgánicos del suelo. Se incluyen métodos modernos para el análisis de la MO total, así como procedimientos para su fraccionamiento y para el aislamiento y cuantificación de las distintas formas de MO. Se revisan los principales métodos vigentes, tanto destructivos como no destructivos, para la caracterización químico-estructural de todas las formas de MO, centrando el interés en los más apropiados para determinar el grado de alteración de la MO por efecto del fuego.
