[EN]: An archaeological survcy has been carried out in an area of approximately 39 hectares in the municipality of Mairena del Aljarafe (Sevilla). As one of the main results, the documentation of a new Roman site (1st.- 5th.16th.centuries A.D.), named El Jardinillo, can he pointed out. Also a Roman grave was detected, dated to the 4th. century A.D., probably forming pan of a necropolis associated with the El Jardinillo settlement. On the other hand, the existente of the "Palomares del Río" site in the surveyed arca has been discarded.
[ES]: Se ha realizado una prospección arqueológica en un área de unas 39 hectáreas en el término municipal de Mairena del Aljarafe (Sevilla). Como resultado se puede destacar la documentación de un nuevo yacimiento de época romana (siglos 1-VM d.C.), que ha sido denominado El Jardinillo. También se detectó una tumba datable en torno al siglo IV, probablemente de una necrópolis asociada al asentamiento de El Jardinillo. Por otra parte, se ha descartado la existencia del yacimiento "Palomares del Río" en el área de prospección.
