Abstract

Se describe un proceso para la oxidación de mercaptanos, compuestos tiofénicos y sus derivados presentes en fracciones de gasolina, queroseno y diesel, caracterizado porque comprende realizar una oxidación de compuestos de azufre utilizando peróxidos orgánicos o inorgánicos en una sola fase líquida que comprende una de dichas fracciones y un agente oxidante seleccionado entre peróxidos y hidroperóxidos, que se contacta con un catalizador o basado en sólidos amorfos que contienen al menos Si y Ti así como, preferentemente silicio unido a carbono.
