Abstract

Como en la mayor parte de Europa, el lobo fue antaño común en Cataluña. Pero se extinguió entre finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX. Durante cerca de cien años no volvió a haber lobos. Finalmente, ha reaparecido en las montañas pirenaicas y, de forma sorprendente, hemos constatado que no proviene del núcleo ibérico, sino de las poblaciones en expansión de Italia y el sureste de Francia.
