El PEG35 com eina terapèutica en la lesió per isquèmia-reperfusió pancreàtica: preservació de la funció i integritat endotelial

Abstract

La disfunción endotelial es un evento clave en la lesión por isquemia-reperfusión (IR) y desempeña un papel fundamental en la patogénesis del daño orgánico durante el trasplante de páncreas. El glicocálix endotelial (eGCX) y las proteínas de unión intercelular son esenciales para mantener la integridad vascular, y ambas estructuras son altamente susceptibles a la lesión por IR, lo que puede provocar su degradación o alteración, resultando en un aumento de la permeabilidad vascular, inflamación y edema tisular. El polietilenglicol 35 (PEG35), un polímero biocompatible y no tóxico, ha demostrado efectos protectores antiinflamatorios en varios modelos de lesión orgánica. Este estudio tiene como objetivo evaluar el papel del PEG35 sobre la integridad y función endotelial.
