Abstract

La música ocidental arribà a Corea a través del músics japonesos. Hi ha una gran tradició de música culta. Destaca la "chöngak". L'opera també està present. Quan a la música popular i tradicional hi ha una estreta relació amb la Xina i el Japó. Destaquen la música cortesana. Quan a instruments hi ha una gran varietat. La mateixa varietat que hi ha quan a gèneres musicals.
