[EN] The invention relates to the use of the compound raltegravir or the derivatives thereof for producing medicaments for the treatment of infections caused by the herpes virus, preferably by the human cytomegalovirus. These compounds can be used, for example but not exclusively, in situations where the other antivirals have lost efficacy as a result of the development of resistances in the patient, or as antivirals that are complementary to others.
