Abstract

Método y sistema para reducir o eliminar el contenido de gases de efecto invernadero en un gas o mezcla de gases. El método comprende utilizar un microscopio de fuerzas atómicas (AFM) para la aplicación de un campo eléctrico elevado ( 10 V/nm) mediante la aplicación de un correspondiente voltaje (V) moderado (10-100 V) a través de una punta (P) del microscopio y un substrato (S) semiconductor o conductor, entre los cuales se dispone un volumen de un gas de efecto invernadero o de una mezcla de gases (G) contenedora de los mismos, tales como dióxido de carbono o metano, cuyas moléculas son así activadas químicamente y posteriormente reaccionan entre sí para formar productos (D) derivados de carbono que se depositarán en fase sólida sobre la superficie del substrato (S). El sistema está adaptado para aplicar el método propuesto disponiendo los diferentes elementos en el interior de una cámara cerrada (C).
