Se revisan los consumos energéticos de los hoteles, en particular de la climatización y del agua caliente y se analizan las eficiencias de los sistemas que se están empleando. Se analizan los materiales de cambio de fase o PCM y se propone su empleo en las instalaciones hoteleras dadas sus ventajas al permitir aprovechar: los calores de compresión y condensación, la inercia térmica, las tarifas eléctricas horarias, así como mejorar la regulación de capacidad y permitir, en algunas instalaciones, la cogeneración.
