The critical temperature of bosonic strings is computed to any order in string perturbation theory and is shown to be the same as in the one-loop order. This fact is interpreted as evidence that the interactions do not modify the asymptotic form of the density of states, and this is in concordance with other indications of the softness of strings at very high energies, found by other authors.
