Pollizo de Murcia is a slow growing plum, of widely used as rootstock for peach, apricot and plum, in the region of Murcia (Spain). A clonal selection was carried out at the Estación Experimental de Aula Dei from a population prospected in the original region, but the rooting ability of hardwood cuttings was poor. The most interesting clones were used to create a new population by free polinization. The variability obtained has allowed the selection of several clones with good aptitude to propagation by hardwood cuttings. The characteristics of the selected clones in relation to its vegetative propagation ability is described in this papel.
