Abstract

Procedimiento de obtención de los alcaloides activos de la planta medicinal Peganum harmala y su uso. La presente invención describe un procedimiento para la obtención de los principios activos responsables de la actividad biológica y farmacológica de la planta medicinal Peganum harmala, mediante un procedimiento que consiste en una extracción selectiva de los alcaloides quinazolínicos (peganina o vasicina, deoxipeganina y glicósido de peganina) y beta-carbolínicos (harmalina y harmina). Los alcaloides aislados puros, en extractos y/o las fracciones enriquecidas de éstos, obtenidas desde distintas partes de la planta pueden ser utilizados en preparados farmacéuticos, cosméticos, nutracéuticos, productos naturales o preparados de herbolario y como remedio natural para el tratamiento de distintas patologías en las que se utilizan la planta medicinal P. harmala como los problemas o enfermedades respiratorias, infecciosas, neurodegenerativas, y cáncer. El procedimiento fracciona o purifica los principios activos evitando interacciones indeseables y aumentando la selectividad y seguridad de los extractos medicinales de P. harmala.
