Associative requirements for archaeological profession: the creation of an archaeology observatory

Abstract

[EN] The Institute of Heritage Sciences is actually working on the creation of “The Heritage Observatory”. This is the first database of professional archaeology in Spain which will information through a website. This webpage will offer open access to centralize and continue updating information. “The Heritage Observatory” is a necessary step in order to optimize the scientific, professional and social use of data. This is a tool that will make it possible to gather further data, which will contribute to the development of new research related to archaeological and heritage profession and will improve the development of this sector.

[ES] El Instituto de Ciencias del Patrimonio (Incipit) está actualmente trabajando en la creación del “Observatorio de Patrimonio”; la primera base de datos sobre el sector arqueológico en España y que ofrecerá información a través de una página web. Esta iniciativa a través de su acceso abierto permitirá centralizar y continuar actualizando información. El “Observatorio de Patrimonio” es un paso necesario para optimizar el uso social, profesional y científico de los datos. Esta herramienta permitirá recopilar datos y contribuir al desarrollo y a la mejora del sector arqueológico y facilitará su investigación.
