[EN]: The tomato pollen grain wall is characterized in nonapertural zones by ectexine consisting of very short baccules, and a continuous, well developed tectum topped with supratectal globules. The ectexine foot layer is discontoinuous with baccular thickenings embedded in the endexine, which is markedly electron dense and contains numerous parallel horizontal lamellar structures (white lines). The intine is in some places as thick as the endexine.
