Abstract

[EN] The text is a slightly modified version of the scientific report of the research project “Phenomenology of the body and experiences of joy”. The report takes as its first frame of reference Zeiler’s notion of the “eu-appearance” of the body, which offers itself as pleasant, easy, good. It questions, however, whether Leder’s category of the operative but absent body is more appro priate than Behnke’s notion of a bodily impregnation that lucidly permeates subjective life. A tentative ordering of gratifying bodily experiences is there fore proposed: satisfaction of lack, qualification of pleasure, eumotricities, erotic experience, bodily exhilaration for extracorporeal values, positivities in the midst of precariousness. But beyond the plurality of situations, the joyful experiences of the body hold an enormous potential for revealing the basic structures of embodiment as it is lived in the first person
